Angela Missoni has always been passionate about supporting other women, whether that’s meant fostering talent at her family’s heritage knitwear brand, taking a stand against the patriarchy with last season’s must-have pink pussy hats, or supporting a variety of women-focused charities. With her latest project, you can get involved just by picking up some new Missoni merch: For the entire month of October (which also happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month), a special $35 T-shirt she designed for Saks Fifth Avenue’s Key to the Cure Charity will be available in all Saks locations in the U.S. and Canada, as well as online, with 100 percent of proceeds going to 12 local cancer charities, among them American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and TGen Foundation.
“At Missoni, we’ve worked with Saks for so long, so I’ve always known about its Key to the Cure [initiatives],” Missoni tells Vogue. “We’ve supported women’s cancer causes in Italy as a family for many, many years, and we’re sensitive about the subject. Besides the fact that my mother, my daughter, and I are very involved in any kind of women’s [aid], the fashion industry is mainly based on women, too. It had been a long time since we did something in New York, and I’m celebrating 20 years as the creative director at Missoni this year, so supporting this cause was the perfect way to celebrate my anniversary.”
Jennifer Lopez, who set up her own cancer foundation in 2009, is the ambassador for the project and appears in the campaign image here. “Jennifer has a very strong voice,” Missoni adds. “Together with Saks and my family, we think when you have a strong voice, you have to use it for good causes.”
Jennifer Lopez is back! And she is not here to play. She released her newest single, Ni Tun Ni Yo, which features Gente De Zona. This is the first single off her upcoming spanish album, which will be executive produced by Marc Anthony! Check out the song and video below.
Hillary Clinton took to the stage with Jennifer Lopez in Miami late Saturday when the music superstar performed a free concert in the rain to encourage early voting in the battleground state of Florida.
The 47-year-old actress, singer and dancer whose toned physique appeared to defy gravity, powered through some of her greatest hits, including “Let’s Get Loud” and “On the Floor” before an exuberant crowd who cheered and danced as rain drenched the outdoor amphitheater.
Clinton arrived for the last segment of the gig, after Lopez’s ex-husband, Marc Anthony, had already performed. She enveloped Lopez in a bear hug, before thanking the former couple for their support.
The concert capped a day of campaigning in Florida for the Democrat nominee after America’s top cop, FBI Director James Comey renewed his probe of her emails and her lead over Donald Trump narrowed.
Mr. Worldwide hits the hot Miami streets in style in his newest song — and video — aptly titled “Greenlight.” The first single off of Pitbull’s upcoming tenth studio album, Climate Change, “Greenlight” is chock full of the sun-soaked, toe-tapping, fun-loving vibes that the rapper has built his international empire upon, complete with a snazzy sax melody.
As for the album title, its meaning might not be what you think. “I feel like every time we put out an album we change the climate in the music business,” Pitbull told EW. And about that video: you can expect the usual scantily-clad women, vintage whips and modern race cars, and Pitbull in a sharp white summer suit. The song is pretty easy listening, although it’s just a taste of what’s to come.
Climate Change will hit on October 9th, Entertainment Weekly reports, and will feature Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo and Robin Thicke.
Jennifer Lopez has broken Britney Spears’ Las Vegas box-office record.
Last week Jennifer, 47, who kicked off her All I Have show at the Axis at Planet Hollywood earlier this year, earned over $1 million in ticket sales in a single night, the first performer at the Caesars Entertainment property to do so.
Britney’s Piece Of Me show, at the same venue, previously held the record, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Before kicking off her residency in Sin City, Jennifer previously admitted she checked out Britney’s concert.
She said: ‘I have no ego about things. I love going to other people’s shows.
‘I’ve been to Justin Bieber’s not too long ago; I’ve seen Britney Spears’ show here.
